Ellesmere Port is situated on the south border of the Wirral Peninsula in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the county of Cheshire, England. Ellesmere Port is an industrial town. Ellesmere Port is well connected to Chester, Runcorn, Liverpool, Elton, Neston and Ince by frequent bus services. The town centre has a busy bus station.

The main market area in the Town Centre is open for six days a week from Monday through Saturday, except for Wednesday. On Sundays the main market area will be open between 10am and 4pm. On the other working days it will be open between 8 am and 5 pm. Next to the main market is the indoor flea market with about 38 traders offering all kinds of second hand and used goods. Flea market is open only on Monday, Thursday and Sunday. For those who are looking for high street shopping Neston Market will be open on Fridays between 8am and 4pm. This town also has popular public libraries like the Central Library and Neston Library. Ellesmere Port offers variety when it comes to eating places. There are number of good restaurants in town that serve as weekend hangout places for the citizens of Ellesmere Port. By far, this is a self contained town.
